The island in a nutshell:
Beautiful, little island full of horses and weed dealers.
Where to stay:
The Eastern side of the island, as all the action is there.
The Good:
Gili Trawangan is one of my favourite islands. The beaches are very beautiful and the island has a very laid-back vibe. There is always something going on at night, the location changes every day though. Besides, walking around the whole island is doable in two hours, as Gili Trawangan is very small. And everything is cheap. Very cheap!
The Bad & The Ugly:
The Gilis may not be the best islands for swimming and bathing, as the waters are a bit rough.
